This *could* be the same John but 1841 census suggests he was not born in Surrey.
Hi Michael,
I have been looking into the Lambeth Collinsons of the early 1800's. There is some confusion as there are two John Collinsons married to Marys in London at about the same time.
John Collinson Married Mary Ann Weir 8 Sept 1811 St Matthew, Bethnal Green.
John Collinson Married Mary Durrant 4 May 1817 St Martin in the Fields, Westminster.
I think from the dates that the John Collinson that we have must be the first one. (especially Henry WEIR Collinson).
I also have had contact from an Amanda Taylor on this site who says that John Collinson born in 1812 married Emma James Thomas and moved to Liverpool in around 1858. If so then I am totally up the wrong avenue as the JC I am after definitely married Martha Aburn.
Any Thoughts?
Yours in Confusion
Andrew Collinson

Very likely to be Harriet Marian Collinson. There is one other Harriet living in Surrey (an F.S. - female servant in Camberwell) but was not born in the county.
Other professions on this page include Land Surveyor, Engraver, Professor of Music and households tend to have one servant - suggesting that this Collinson family is middle to lower middle class.
