My great great grandfather - Michael Collinson
Blacksmith. He appears to have taken charge of his father's Stockmoss Smithy, Rerrick some time around 1847 when his father moved to Castle Douglas (Kelton). Family tradition has it that he was also the village fiddler. He married twice, first to Jane Smith and then to Isabella McMurray.
He died in Rerrick, Kircudbrightshire, aged 62.

Note for: James Denholm, - Index
Individual Note:
James Denholm is listed as the father of a Jane Denholm with Elizabeth Aitken as the mother. If this is the same Jane Denholm that marries Richard Cumming(s), then he is my (Michael Collinson) gggg grandfather.
Finding more about him has proved elusive so far, so the the following is purely conjectural:
In the 1841 Scotland Census, there is a 75-year old James Denham [born i.e. Apr 1765 - Mar. 1766] living as a lodger in Swinton. In the same house is 65-year old Elizabeth, Denham, [i.e. born Apr 1775 - Mar. 1776]. Let us assume this is "our" James and that Elizabeth is his wife Elizabeth Aitken. They are older than I'd expect but, coincidental or not, there is a Elizabeth Aitken born in the right sort of time and place :
ELIZABETH AITKIN chr. 08 OCT 1775
