Individual Note: The story for Henry Collinson is a little conjectural as it may be more than one person. If correct, he was christened 9th Jan 1812 at Saint John, Hackney, London as the son of Edward Collinson. By 1851 he was a Barrister and "Proprietor of Coal Mines" and by 1861 "Proprietor of Iron Mines". In 1849 he married Rosa Jane Peacock and in 1966 he married Charlotta or Charlotte Burmester

Mary Pole-Baker / Pole-Baker has sent you a message through Genes Reunited about your relation Charlotta Burmester.
hi Michael, This same Charlotta is in my tree - parents Edward Burmester and Charlotte Cotton, married Henry Collinson in 1866 and had a daughter Rosa born 1851. If you can tell me any more about them I would be most interested. best regards Bernie
... and follow up:
Re - Charlotta Burmester
hi Michael
Thanks so much for replying. I had wondered about Rosa Collinson's birthday in reference to the marriage of Charlotta and Henry, so glad you've put me straight on that.
Regarding the Burmester line, information comes from census reports, but also wills (I have quite a few ), marriage documents, and Burke's peerag
Charlotta's grandfather was naturalised by an Act of Parliament in 1766. He was a merchant working between London, Portugal (mostly Lisbon) and Hamburg. We still arent quite sure about the relationship to other Burmesters in the tree who are obviously linked in some way by reason of their names. At the moment we have reason to believe that Henry Hieronymus may well have been the brother of Rudollfo Burmester, another merchant working in the same area. He died and his wife remarried Richard Buller, yet another Lisbon merchant.
It's been very hard trying to source information when it is split between three countries, especially prior to the 19th century when there is much less documentation.
You may also see in my tree Ella Cleather Collinson who married another relation of mine Major General Charles Van Notten Pole in 1903, but she also seems to have married two others. You havent got her mother listed on your website - her name was Lucy Margaret Sandars.
I hope this helps
Best regards
Bernie
