     No luck at identifying a George Nichol, Nichols, Nickols (etc) with a dau. Harriet. The closest match is George Nickalls below. Son Alfred is christened as Nichols as is Harriet so may be the one. No trace of Harriet though in 1871, 1881 Census. And how does Jessie Nichol fit in?

Stop Press: The 1861 tenuously provides proof, George and Mary Nickalls [sic] have a baby female aged under 1 month, born East Grinstead. Very likely this is Harriett.
