Individual Note: Possibly not a relation at all. But if so, this would be one of only two Collinson found in County Durham that are not descended from Matthew Collinson b c1640. He lived most of his adult life in Wolsingham but was born in Ireland (apparently Dublin). So why did he settle in Wolsingham? Were his (unknown unless William Collinson and Sarah Gill) parents from that area?

Hello Michael
Thank you for all the info you have given me. The William Collinson that was born in Dublin in 1800 was my great great grandfather, one of his daughters Eleanor was my great grandmother so the Thomas George Collinson who married Deborah Collings would have been my great great uncle
In 1911 Thomas and Deborah were living in Whitfield Place Wolsingham with their unmarried son also Thomas George he was a stone quarryman.
Have you ever been to Wolsingham, we were there taking pictures of gravestones in May but I didn't know about the Collinson's then so hopefully we will get over in a couple of weeks as I have some time off,but I wonder what religion they may have been with William being from Dublin.
Let's hope it's a fine day as we may be doing some trailing about
