Individual Note: This person *could* be the same as my direct ancestor James McMurray born before 1787 who married Sarah McLune as she died in 1813. He also could be a son of my ancestor as Sarah McLune was apparently born in 1760.

Hi Michael, How are you? It's a while since our last messages. I was looking through mine and deleting some which I should have deleted at the time but reading them first. I read on your last one that you were a bit mixed up with who was the illegitimate son of the McMurrays. I don't think I told you I had him did I? On his death certificate it says that James McMurray born 1750 Anwoth, Kirkcudbrighshire died 13/06/1865 at Anwoth, illegitimate, the reputed son of John McMurray and that's where I got stuck with them. How is your family history researching getting on at the moment? I have found out a lot more and have been researching for friends and other family members etc. I have found out about Elizabeth's daughters, their marriages and children etc which I have put on my tree. Will keep in touch and of course let you know if I have a breakthrough with the McMurrays.

I've included the children in the tree but I suspect this record is not entirely correct. Wife Margaret is shown as much older in 1841 Census. Janet is there with right age in 1851. Elizabeth is there with right age in 1841 but other younger children are not and wife would have been over 50 at birth ... unlikely?

If true, then the Mary is Mary Anne.
