Individual Note:
     His 1901 England Census entry is difficult to read but strongly suggests he was born in Middleton In Teesdale and therefore almost certainly a relative. I've not been able to link him with any particular family though, unless he is the son of Thomas Collinson b c1831 and Eilzabeth Wilkinson. The other possible is son of Joseph Collinson and Jane Tarn but married a different lady.

1818 Jan 16 (Wed prev.): Quarter Sessions at County Hall. Ann, wife of John Collinson, pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting George Vickers, overseer of M "in a most violent manner". Sentenced to 6 weeks' hard labour in the House of Correction at Southwell, and to be released only if her husband had found sureties for her to keep the peace for 12 months.
