     Note: There are two Joseph Collinson b c1821 in Middleton in Teesdale and both married a Margaret. Information from Tarn family researcher Melvyn Conlong appears to distinguish them but has not been corroborated as sources are not quoted.

================================
Source - Melvyn Conlong, personal communication via Genes Reunited, Oct 2008:

Hi Michael
In the course of compiling my TARN one-name study, I have found no evidence of a Margaret Tarn born in Stanhope around 1826. I think that the confusion arises because there were two Joseph COLLINSONs born in Middleton in Teesdale around 1821. Joseph the son of John Collinson and Jane HORN married Margaret TARN (b Harwood in Teesdale 1824) in 1854, whereas Joseph the son of William Collinson and Ann DIXON married Margaret BOWMAN (b Stanhope 1826) in 1848. Hope this helps.
Regards, Melvyn
