Baptism:
     Date:   24 FEB 1799
     Place:   Newburn, Northumberland, UK

Individual Note:
Father-in-law of Isobella Collinson. I haven't recorded the original source so I don't know where the name Edward came from. Evidence now suggests he is Joseph Greenwell B Northumberland c 1799 or c1796. See son Edward.

Source - LDS IGI parish record:

It is a surmise that this is the same Joseph Greenwell that married Hannah Richardson and was the father of Edward Greenwell but Greenwell is not a common name and Hannah was also born in Newburn. Children are also name Edward and Jane.

Hi Tom,
I think your Joseph Rathmell b1823 is the son of Joseph Rathmell (born 30 may 1790)& baptised at the chapel in Stainburn. .Your Joseph Rathmell's grandfather Joseph was buried 1805 April 5th in the parish of Kirkby Overblow.
The Stainburn registers were lost and most of my information was derived from the bishops transcripts at the Borthwick Institute York. Many of the Rathmells are spelled Rafmel Rathnell etc.
Hope this helps
Regards Richard Allen
